The pictures in these three galleries were supplied to Lt.Col. Craig Rainey by Mr. Rick O'Sullivan. Both his father, James O'Sullivan, and uncle, William O'Sullivan served in the Pacific during WWII. James served in the U.S. Army, and William in the U.S. Navy.
The photos were taken on the Island of Moratai which was a staging area for bombing missions in N. Borneo, and later against targets in Cebu, Mindanao, and in the Philippines.
